Description
The splash screen of iPad3 retina looks stretched when launched the app for a couple of times. It is generally not reproducible for the first time. Please find the attached screenshot and video from the below link. You can reproduce the issue by copying the below images into the iphone folder.

I have the same problem using an iPad 3 with iOS 6.1.3, it looks like the portrait splash is displayed briefly stretched after initially displaying the correct one.
What we are seeing is the following: On first app launch, this is quite obvious. On slower devices, this may still be visible even after first launch. Most other devices will not show the behavior after the first launch. As Gary mentions above: Using a default sample app and the QE-attached images, when launching in landscape the landscape image is displayed, followed by a stretched portrait. It's quite clear when using 4 different images that this occurs. After the first launch, if unable to reproduce, simply removing the app and reinstalling will show the issue again. This occurs on retina and non-retina iPads.
