Changing SDK build in tiapp.xml makes Android inactive as Deployment Target.
It only happens with builds I mentioned, what are consecutive.
Although Building app for the device returns Error, app is being installed though and it is possible to run it on device. See attached screen shots.
It is a *regression*, does not occur in 3.1.0.v20130318141656 SDK build
This issue was reproducible with the following test steps:
1. Create or import the project via Studio
2. Change sdk version inside tiapp.xml to the latest (in my case I used above noted builds)
Result: Android target remains checked but goes grey.
3. Attempt to build for Android device
Actual result:
Error type 3
Error: Activity class {com.appcelerator.kitchensink/com.appcelerator.kitchensink.KitchenSinkActivity} does not exist.
[INFO] : Project built successfully in 38s 689ms
Device build does install and work despite the error.
Expected result:
Android target in Tiapp editor remains active.
Build for device completes with no error.

Also seeing this on my 3.1.0 Studio with Titanium SDK: 3.1.0.v20130319125050. That would be Titanium Studio, build: 3.1.0.201303172230. Edited this comment to remove 3.0.2 written in error.
