Running the iPhone app into iPad mini or iPad (non-retina) which is on iOS 7 the status bar is not shown in the device. You should run the iPhone app into iPad (not ipad app).
Steps to reproduce
iPad mini or non-retina ipad (simulator or device) with iOS 7 and titanium sdk 3.1.3 GA
install any simple iphone app (Where deployment target is selected as iPhone only)
Run the app in iphone simulator -> this will launch the iphone simulator.
In iOS simulator menu (top bar) -> select hardware -> device ->iPad
then again launch the app again in iPad simulator.

Was able to reproduce the original issue with 3.1.3.GA stack and in the current 3.2.0 stack. Tested on: Titanium Studio, build: 3.1.3.201309132423, 3.2.0.201311211626 SDK build: 3.1.3.GA, 3.2.0.v20131121163252 CLI: 3.1.3, 3.2.0-alpha Alloy: 1.2.2, 1.3.0 (it://github.com/appcelerator/alloy.git#1_3_X) Xcode: 5.0, 5.0.2 Device: ipad 2 non-retina (7.0.2), ipad simulator non-retina (7.0, 7.0.3)
Native app displaying the same behavior.
This is the native behavior, if you run an iPhone app on a iPad, it is essentially running on a compatible, where the app does not get full resolution or screen size. The same behavior can be noted on the attached native app(15632.zip). Trying running the attached app on a iPad and iPhone, to see the same behavior. Marking ticket as invalid.
Closing ticket as invalid.
