This looks like a great use case for Hyperloop:

   const importMenu = UIDocumentMenuViewController.alloc().initWithDocumentTypesInMode(myUTIs, UIDocumentPickerModeImport);
   importMenu.delegate = myDelegate; // Create "myDelegate" with Hyperloop.defineClass(...)
   TiApp.app().showModalController(importMenu, true);
