Description
As an ongoing effort, each major revision of the SDK should target the latest stable branch tip.
For 8.0.0 we should target roughly V8 6.9.
We can track the stable versions here: https://omahaproxy.appspot.com
The release cycle for V8 is ~6 weeks. Currently V8 stable is 6.8.x, 6.9.x is beta. It's anticipated that at least 6.9.x will become stable by the 8.0.0 timeframe.
Just a quick note that given the general timeline, 6.9 will likely become stable mid-September. 7.0 will likely become stable end of October/start of November.
[~cwilliams] SDK could not be built with
TI_DEBUG=1. There are some errors inV8Object.cppandV8Runtime.cpp.8.0.0 is currently using V8 7.0.276.42
