See the demo in KS:
\nBase UI > Views > Webview controls
\nWhile loading the web page in the webView 'browser', it used to\nshow a white spinning indicator in the center of the screen. This\nno longer shows. (Nor does it show network activity with the status\nbar spinner). Without this, the user is just looking a white screen\nwith no idea if anything is loading.
\nOnce this is fixed, it would also be nice to have the spinner\nshow again when a link is clicked with the webView 'browser' -\nother wise there is no indication of activity at all when a user\ncliks a link within a remote web page.
Answering/fixing my own question/issue:
\nI was able to add my own loading indicator in the webview's\n'beforeload' (to show it) and 'load' (to hide it) events.
This issue doesn't seem to exist on iOS 4, only on 3.x.
Confirming this is only happening on iOS3.x
