Description

Problem

Leaving an app in the background for several hours, then resuming, results in a hang.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch and run the app
  2. Go thru a few views
  3. Press HOME button to suspend and do something else
  4. Wait a few hours.
  5. Touch the app icon again
  6. App loads splash screen again and sits there

Observations

Our customer observed the following behavior:
1. Appears that when coming back afer a timeout and termination, the app decides not to load after letting it sit for a while
2. I have noticed this does not happen 100% of the time, so it is tricky.

Tested On

Original Motorola Droid Android OS 2.2.1
Ti API 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 Google APIs 2.2
Developer 1.2.2
Android SDK Tools r7
Mac OS X 10.6.4
