G1 (1.6) not seeing this on the newer device running 2.2 + [INFO] Titanium SDK version: 1.6.0 (02/04/11 10:00 7bb9911)
1.install KS using noted build on a G1
2.tap on a list view item and watch what occurs
results: the list itens take the initial focus state, and does nothing for a second, changes to down state and then finally loads the the next window. This takes 2-3 seconds, when 1.5.1 is used the load happens almost instantly (even if the resulting window takes a second to load).

same perf hit the first time you tap through tabs. second time (same session) the perf issue is not seen
Test on G1, consider no fix.
