after data has been loaded (either initially or upon update/setData) fire an event (need to pick a consistent event name with other APIs)

The user's request from the helpdesk ticket is not exactly possible. Will look into this later.

Invalidated by the ravages of time... namely, that helpdesk ticket is gone.
We may discuss table events at a future point.
