I was unable to reproduce this using Android SDK Platform-tools r12 or r14.

I was able to reproduce using Android SDK Tools 20.0.1 & Android SDK Platform Tools 14. For android 2.2 & 4.1 we see a crash. It works fine for android 2.3 ; 4.0. Tested On: Titanium studio : 2.1.1.201207171343 SDK version : 2.1.1.v20120723131610

QE Notes: Android released 20.01 SDK. This is no longer available to new downloaders. If you had it, you are offered an upgrade. Thanks to Dustin for noticing this unique situation. He also reports that he can't reproduce with the update. We are trying the refactored KS as well, as this should be the shipping version We are seeing it (without the Android updates) on 2.2 and 2.3.3 emulator only so far.

The Sample KitchenSink crashes on Android 2.2 emulator, and is slow on the 2.3.3 emulator. Titanium Studio: 2.1.2.201208091718 Titanium SDK: 2.1.2.v20120809183109 Android Emulator: 2.2 Android SDK: r20.0.1 OS: Mountain Lion

Resolving ticket as invalid as this version of Kitchen Sink is no longer supported.
