1.Follow the setup instructions on : http://preview.appcelerator.com/studio/tizen/
2.Download the 64 bit version of install manager for windows 7 & 8 -- 64 bit
3.Launch the installer
4.Observe the error
Actual result:
1.You will get error like this:"You must have either JRE or JDK in version 6 installed on your computer."
2.In reality it actually looks for 64 bit java
3.We do not force people who use our studio to download a 64 bit version of java
4.This might create complexities as users having 64 bit windows will download the 64 bit tizen installer & encounter this error.
5.Also,there is no way user can figure out if he requires a 64-bit version of java from the error message
6.Running a 32-bit installer works fine
It is issue with Tizen installer. We cannot fix it in Titanium SDK
We will be deferring work on Tizen for the moment.
Closing ticket as the issue will not fix.
