Description

We need to update the LICENSE and README files in both the root and support/all so that the MobileSDK distribution shows the property copyright dates, as well as our source repository. Steps to test: 1. Build the mobilesdk zip 2. Check that $MOBILESDK/LICENSE and $MOBILESDK/README have Copyrights that extend to 2012

Tested with 2.0.1.v20120405211737 LICENSE: Copyright 2008-2010 Appcelerator, Inc. README: Titanium is Copyright (c) 2009-2010 The files are getting picked up from the Support folder and those files need to be updated
  2. Olga Romero 2013-01-17

Since this issue was created in 2012, it is updated till 2012. However, 2013 is here. So, I am reopening to keep it up to date. Thank you Arthur.

Both files have been updated till 2013 now. Environment used for verification - Titanium SDK: 3.1.0.v20130128172329 Titanium SDK: 3.0.2.v20130128174806 Titanium  Studio: 3.0.2.201301251115

Reopening ticket. The copyright dates are outdated in the following locations: * titanium_mobile/LICENSE * titanium_mobile/support/LICENSE * titanium_mobile/support/all/README * titanium_mobile/support/all/LICENSE * titanium_mobile/templates/app/default/template/README * titanium_mobile/templates/app/default/template/LICENSE The outdated copyright dates will appear in the LICENSE and README file when you create a Titanium and Alloy project in: Appc CLI NPM: 0.3.45 Appc CLI Registry: 0.2.247 SDK build: 4.0.0.Beta3 Node: v0.10.36 OS: Yosemite (10.10.3)

[~ingo] Is this really a valid ticket? Can we automate this? Every year this ticket is going to keep being reopened.
  6. Ingo Muschenetz 2016-08-24

This is invalid. The copyright date only needs to list the date of first publication: https://wiki.appcelerator.org/display/eng/Legal+boilerplate+for+source+code
  7. Lee Morris 2017-03-20

    Closing ticket as invalid.
