The problem is that this inadvertently expose items that:\r\n# Internal proxy properties not designed to work with JS\r\n# NSObject properties and methods not designed for JS\r\n\r\nFor example, TiWindowProxy has an internal method _window pointing to the App's UIWindow. Or even more comically, the -[retain] and -[autorelease] meet the signature of a property. JS can refer to these false properties and crash the app. This is bad.\r\n\r\nThis was part of the design, dating back to 0.9.\r\n\r\nSteps:\r\n# Come up with new protocol that is not KVC-discoverable\r\n# Implement secondary protocol\r\n# Transition to secondary protocol\r\n# Phase out older KVC-based ones\r\n", "attachment": [], "flagged": false, "summary": "iOS: Kroll: Introspection is too introspective", "creator": { "name": "blainhamon", "key": "blainhamon", "displayName": "Blain Hamon", "active": true, "timeZone": "America/Los_Angeles" }, "subtasks": [], "reporter": { "name": "blainhamon", "key": "blainhamon", "displayName": "Blain Hamon", "active": true, "timeZone": "America/Los_Angeles" }, "environment": null, "comment": { "comments": [], "maxResults": 0, "total": 0, "startAt": 0 } } }
