Description:\r\nWhile doing some testing, I had my personal device \"Eric's 6\" sitting on my desk. After a few test installs to a device called \"newton\" I got this error:\r\n{code}\r\n[ERROR] : Invalid \"--device-id\" value \"08e438859cff384c07529d645ca188746afeb8c7\"\r\nAvailable iOS Devices:\r\n Eric's 6\r\n itunes iTunes Sync\r\nFor help, run: titanium help build\r\nTRACE | titanium exited with exit code 1\r\nERROR | Error: ti run exited with error code 1\r\n at ChildProcess. (/Users/eric/.appcelerator/install/4.1.2/package/node_modules/appc-cli-titanium/plugins/run.js:84:66)\r\n at ChildProcess.emit (events.js:117:20)\r\n at Process.ChildProcess._handle.onexit (child_process.js:820:12)\r\n{code}\r\n\r\nSince I didn't have my device connected I was surprised to see it in the list of available devices. Doing some investigation I noted that \"newton\" seemed to be available unreliably when this issue occurs. Meaning if \"Eric's 6\" is listed, \"newton\" may not be in the list. It was sometimes however, as shown here:\r\n{code}Connected iOS Devices\r\n Newton\r\n UDID = 08e438859cff384c07529d645ca188746afeb8c7\r\n Type = iPhone (#3b3b3c)\r\n iOS Version = 8.0.2\r\n CPU Architecture = arm64\r\n Eric's 6\r\n UDID = \r\n Type = iPhone (#3b3b3c)\r\n iOS Version = 8.3\r\n CPU Architecture = arm64{code}\r\n\r\n*Please note:*\r\niTunes wireless sync was not enabled, and iTunes running did not have an effect on this issue.\r\nMy device is on the same wifi network. When wifi is turned off on the phone it isn't visible to \"appc info\"\r\n\"newton\" device is mostly not available when my phone is awake and listed in the appc info output\r\n\r\nh5. Steps to reproduce:\r\n1) Connect a device via cable to test machine running Mac OS 10.10.x or better\r\n2) run command {code}appc ti info -t ios{code} - verify device is visible\r\n3) Using additional device connected to same wifi as Mac system, wake it up\r\n4) run {code}appc ti info -t ios{code}\r\n\r\nh5. Result:\r\nPhysically connected device is no longer shown in output. Wireless device is listed in output but can't be installed to.\r\n\r\nh5. Expected Result:\r\nOnly physically connected devices are shown in \"appc ti info\" output \r\n\r\n", "attachment": [], "flagged": false, "summary": "iOS: appc info -t ios command lists device not physically connected", "creator": { "name": "emerriman", "key": "emerriman", "displayName": "Eric Merriman ", "active": true, "timeZone": "America/Los_Angeles" }, "subtasks": [], "reporter": { "name": "emerriman", "key": "emerriman", "displayName": "Eric Merriman ", "active": true, "timeZone": "America/Los_Angeles" }, "environment": "Mac OS 10.10.3\r\nAlloy: 1.7.3\r\nAppc CLI: 4.1.2\r\nAppc CLI NPM: 4.2.0-1\r\nTitanium SDK version 4.1.1.v20150802200935\r\nAppcelerator Studio, build: 4.1.1.201507141126\r\nXcode 6.4.0", "comment": { "comments": [ { "id": "420536", "author": { "name": "lmorris", "key": "lmorris", "displayName": "Lee Morris", "active": false, "timeZone": "America/Los_Angeles" }, "body": "Closing this ticket as the issue cannot be reproduced with the following environment; \r\niPhone 7 (10.2) \r\nMacOS 10.11.6 (15G31) \r\nStudio 4.9.0.201705021158 \r\nTi SDK 6.1.0.v20170519131839 \r\nAppc NPM 4.2.9 \r\nAppc CLI 6.2.1 \r\nTi CLI 5.0.13 \r\nAlloy 1.9.11 \r\nArrow 2.0.0 \r\nXcode 8.2 (8C38) \r\nNode v4.8.2 \r\nJava 1.7.0_80", "updateAuthor": { "name": "lmorris", "key": "lmorris", "displayName": "Lee Morris", "active": false, "timeZone": "America/Los_Angeles" }, "created": "2017-05-26T18:30:57.000+0000", "updated": "2017-05-26T18:30:57.000+0000" } ], "maxResults": 1, "total": 1, "startAt": 0 } } }
