Have had discussions with the TISTUD team. They are currently defining a format for a source map that alloy will need to provide.
Source maps and a means to consume and query them have been made available via the linked tickets. External apps, including TiStudio, now have a means to source map and thus execute runtime step-through debugging on Alloy apps.
